Here is alittle about us and why we are decided to do what we do.

We have had a love for the German Shepherd Dog since we can remember. It's grace and loyalty. It's courage and beauty It's majestic silence. How could anyone not. We have no idea...we are totally absorbed by their presence.

Not too long after we got together we added our first German Shepherd to our family. Tazz was his name. We named him that because of the way he would run around with his mouth open, hoping to grab something, anything. He was such an amazing dog. He stole our hearts. This boy lived fifteen long years and taught us so many lessons in patience and flexibility. We did our very best to give him as a fulfilling life as we could, but now, looking back, I can't help but to feel we could have done better. But as the old saying goes, "When you know better, you do better." and I think we are.

Afew years before Tazz left us we added another German Shepherd. His name is Benjamin. Now here is a beauty. He is a big black boy with a wash of silver along his belly into the underside of his tail. He is the reason we fell so hard for the black German Shepherd. Now this boy would have done very well in sport. He was a terror as a pup. People would ask me if his name was Monster or Ben. No kidding! He kept me on my toes at all times....Tazz too. He has grown to be such a calm and patient guy. He is great with pups, having helped us grow the other three we now have.

Not quite a year after Tazz left us we added another German Shepherd. His name is Jake, short for Jakeasorous-Rex. What a character he is. So full of love and devotion. He will do anything for me that I ask. We have played with him in IPO, helping me learn the sport so I can use those skills with him and the girls. Each one of them brings a new challenge which at times I am not able to meet, but the trying is promising and the bond we build while doing so is unbreakable.

These two boys are our pets. Our teachers and our companions. Our beautiful baby boys. While we made our life with these two fellas, we honed our goals and how to go about reaching them. We wanted to be breeders of an outstanding representation of the German Shepherd Dog.

We felt that the dog had to be of great pedigree. That is something I am continuing to learn and will till the day I die I think. These dogs need to be proven to have good solid temperament and healthy bodies with strong bone and good angulation. They need to be unshakable, stable and be able to live quite nicely  in the family home. Balance is what we are striving for. So the search began for our first female to add to our home.

Embla vom Boomlake was our first girl. Thank you Trina entrusting us with this angel. She was such a sweet lil thing, but very full of herself. The second day she arrived here, she took the house from the boys. Everything was hers and they just let her have it. She was and still is our lil Princess. We looked and found a Schutzhund club that was willing to take us on. Thank you Bernie VanPelt and the London Schutzhund Club.  There we continued and are continuing still, (whenever we are able)to learn about these magnificent beasts. The three of us went weekly to glean as much as we could so we could reach our goals. Me as a handler and Kirby as a Helper, and the two of us as dedicated German Shepherd owners. Em has attained her Canadian Good Neighbor certificate, she also passed the Temperament Test and a BH. She has been working toward her IPO 1. Her nose lends her to excel in tracking, where she will continue to train and trial for.

Then we decided it was time to look around for another girl to add to our home. After talking to several knowledgeable people, we decided to see about a pup out of Iron von den Wolfen and Fiona von Wendelin at Wendelin Farms. Although the litter was ready to go by Easter and we were not looking for our addition until fall, we felt that this lil girl was well worth the change in schedule. We couldn't have made a better decision. Indigoo von Wendelin is what she was named. Dee for short and sometimes Peanut, P but always the Queen. She is such a blessing. She is everything we could have hoped for and more. Thank you Christina Kaiser for entrusting us with her and Bernie VanPelt who helped us choose her.  She has also has attained her Canadian Good Neighbor certificate, she passed the Temperament Test and a BH and is working towards her IPO1. She would be far more advanced had she had a better handler(me being who she has) but I know there is nothing this lil girl won't accomplish, given the chance.

So this is how we started, and gives you the direction we are headed. I hope you enjoyed the journey so far, as we wouldn't have changed a thing. Each and every moment has only brought us to where we are now. We look forward to what the coming days and years will bring, as we continue to strive to breed an outstanding representation of the German Shepherd Dog.
